Do I need Contractors Plant Insurance?

If you work in any of the above industries and operate large-scale equipment (stationary or mobile), you need a contractor’s plant insurance policy.

What does this Insurance cover?

A Contractors Plant Insurance policy will typically cover you for material damage, road risk liability and public liability.

Cover can be arranged for single items or a fleet of plant equipment.

The most common types of plant items that are insured include:

  • Cranes
  • Excavators
  • Concreting equipment
  • Forklifts
  • Farming Machinery
  • Tippers
  • Trailers
  • Trucks
  • Lifting Equipment

Important Tips

Broadform Public and Products Liability is tailored for Plant and Equipment operations, with the option to include additional activities if needed. This coverage can also be provided as a standalone policy if required.

Road risk liability coverage is available only if the plant item is registered.

Optional extensions can be added to your policy, such as breakdown cover and protection against consequential loss (loss of income due to vehicle damage).
